Only 15 kilometers from the capital of Mendoza, active university, economic, cultural, commercial and social center, and 30 kilometers from the international airport, is found the picturesque village of Chacras de Coria, framed by the imposing Cordón del Plata and 120 km from Aconcagua. Characterized by large gardens, vineyards and fruit farms that, as a result of urbanization, are gradually transformed. Its almost 1000 meters above sea level gives it a pleasant weather, cool at night and warm during day under a clear sky. Tree-lined streets with the typical irrigation ditches, invite to an evening stroll. The lively square in the town centre has a nice market of antiques and handicrafts. This place holds a diverse population that includes artists, craftsmen and writers. Specially, count on the old Casa Guiñazú, today the Fader Museum, which houses the most important collection of Fernando Fader, painter from Mendoza, and one of the most representative of Argentine art of the early twentieth century. Rooted at the foot of the Andes, on the international route to Chile, it allows the visitor who is eager for emotions, to do all kinds of sports: skiing, mountain climbing, trekking, rafting, horseback riding, paragliding, cycling, fly fishing, birdwatching and windsurfing. Nowadays it is a recognized gastronomic place and it has the charm of being in one of the roads of the wine, from where it comes, among others, the prestigious Malbec. It is the ideal starting point for visits to the characteristic vineyards and the most representative wineries, which offer tastings and lunches with the pairing of their wines, in the charming setting of classical or contemporary architectures. Within this scenario, our hotel offers cooking classes based on traditional Argentine foods. Finally, the elaborated dishes are enjoyed at dinner with the high-end wine prepared by the winemaker of the house.
